Lure is offered by J.B. Pool, Amsterdam. Contact: info@lureapp.nl. These terms apply when you use Lure. Dutch law applies; this never takes away rights you have as a consumer where you live.
Lure is for people aged 18 and over. If we find out someone is younger, we close the account.
Use your real first name and a real photo of yourself. No harassment, hate, spam, nudity, illegal content or fake check-ins.
Lure helps you see where things happen and who is around. People you meet through Lure are responsible for their own behaviour; Lure doesn’t screen or check users and can’t guarantee who someone is. Meet in public places, tell a friend where you are, and leave if something feels wrong. You go to plans, places and meet-ups on your own responsibility. If someone breaks the law, report it to the police and to us.
The map shows public places (cafés, bars, clubs and more) using open data from OpenStreetMap. Showing a place does not mean it works with Lure, endorses Lure or knows about it. Opening hours, crowd levels and other details can be wrong. Own a place and want it changed or removed? Contact us and we’ll fix it.
Places marked as a Lure partner have a paid plan and manage their own page, deals (“Lures”) and stamp cards. Lures are offered by the place itself: it sets the conditions and honours them. Lures never include alcohol. Lure isn’t a party to what you agree with a place and isn’t responsible for what happens at a venue.
If you claim a place, you must be allowed to manage it; we check claims before a place goes live. The plan costs €14,99 a month after a free first week, billed by Apple, and renews monthly until you cancel in your Apple ID settings. We can remove places or Lures that are misleading.
You keep the rights to your photos, videos and texts. By posting, you allow Lure to show them inside the app for as long as they’re online (stories 24 hours, posts 7 days). Only post things you made yourself or are allowed to share, and never post other people without their permission.
Anyone can report a post, story, chat or person in the app. We look at every report, can remove content or block accounts that break these terms or the law, and tell you why when we remove something of yours. You can reply to that decision via the contact details above.
We build Lure with care but can’t promise it always works or that everything on it is correct. We aren’t liable for what other users or places do or post, or for damage from meeting people or visiting places. Where we are liable, it’s limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months (for most people: €0) — except where the law doesn’t allow a limit, such as damage we caused on purpose or by gross negligence.
If these terms change in a big way, we’ll tell you in the app first.
